Canva Tutorial For Beginners 2024 | How To Use Canva Pro Free | Digital Products With Canva

we all know canva we all love canva and we're all probably kind of overwhelmed by canva at one point or another which is why i'm making this canva tutorial for beginners if you're new to the canva world welcome you are about to have a ton of fun and learn more about design than you probably ever thought you would know pretty much everyone uses canva in the online space mainly for two reasons because number one you can do so much on canva and number two you can do a lot of it for free canva has a super intuitive easy to learn drag and drop editor that you can create just about any kind of design you want on if you're an entrepreneur or a product seller you can create designs for your digital products to sell online if you sell print on demand this is a great place to create designs for your print-on-demand items like t-shirts sweatshirts mugs notebooks and even if you don't sell products but you're in the online space and you have social media or you need business assets like business cards flyers or marketing materials or maybe you need to create a presentation and you don't want to use powerpoint or google slides you can do that on canva as well so like i mentioned before this is going to be a step-by-step walkthrough in canva tutorial for beginners going over some of the main features you can use inside of the editor but before we jump into that i want to quickly just go over the different plans and subscriptions that they do offer because it's important to know as you're editing what elements you can use according to which plan you have so canva recently revamped their subscription plans and now they offer three different main plans there's canva free canva pro and canva for teams canva free is their free plan that anyone can use it's for one person so of course you can't use teams on that it's only for you if you are a freelance designer or an entrepreneur and you just need to be able to use it for yourself the free plan on canva will give you access to all of their different free fonts and elements and illustrations there's a lot that you'll have access to but there are some elements and fonts that you won't be able to use on the free plan that are only pro elements and fonts you'll know which media on canva is only for pro users because you'll see the little crown symbol on that piece of media so any fonts or illustrations or photos that have that crown symbol are free for pro or teams users because they're paying a monthly subscription now if you're on the canva free plan but you just want to pay for one of the pro elements you can do that by paying usually a dollar sometimes it's a different price but for most things it's one dollar for a one-time usage that is the only way to have the watermark removed so that you can use that pro element on the free plan other than paying the monthly subscription for the pro or canva for teams now there's some differences between pro and teams canva the main difference is that pro is still for one person now they recently changed this so pro is for one person teams is if you want to add team members and you can work together on special projects and organizing templates and things like that with your team on canva so we'll get into the pricing and i'll explain that a little bit at the end of the video but for now just know that as we're working i'm going to be showing you some of the free features and some of the pro features and i'll try to make a note of which ones are pro when we see that little crown symbol now one other thing before we jump in and start creating is licensing i know there's always a lot of questions on canva licensing canva actually has a full article that you can read that really breaks it down simply in easy to understand terms you can read through what you're allowed to do and not allowed to do with the media on canva depending on which subscription you're part of but the general rule of thumb for using your designs from canva for commercial or business purposes is that you can't use a standalone piece of content or media from canva without altering it or editing it in some way to make it unique and make it your own once you add something to it or alter it or edit it to make it your own then you're pretty much free with a few exceptions to do anything you want with it personally or commercially but you definitely can't just take an as is piece of content whether it be a photo or an illustration or something like that from canva and just resell it or redistribute it or use it as is you have to really alter it and add some components together to make something brand new and unique now again there's a lot more that goes into the canva licensing i will link that article that i mentioned down below i would totally recommend that you go and read through it for yourself to really understand if you're allowed to use the media in the way that you're thinking of for your personal or commercial purposes i also want to mention that i have a link below if you're interested in trying canva pro and you want a free trial the link will get you a 30 day free trial for canva pro so you can have access to all of the pro elements and media that is on canva and try it out and see if you might want to upgrade to that pro version okay enough talk let's go ahead and hop over to start designing okay so when you come on canva you're going to see this home page and let's look here first where it says what will you design you can search here but i want to show you these little icons down here we have presentations social media video print products marketing office and more so let's say you're interested in creating a social media design you can click on social media and it'll show you what's popular first in case you're interested in that and then you can look at the different social media platforms so it'll categorize it by instagram facebook and then you can scroll down even further to look at their specific templates so these up here would be creating a blank instagram let's say ad or story or post from scratch but if you don't want to create something from scratch you can come down here to where it says templates and it'll show you templates for the different types of posts so you have instagram post templates instagram story templates whatsapp statuses so if you don't want to create your own design but you want to use a template you can click on one of these and edit it further to make it your own or you can choose one to start from scratch let's just say you want to create an instagram story you would create a blank one by clicking on it and it will automatically size it for the correct size for the instagram story and you'll see we just have a blank white canvas here that then you can create your own design so once we click on it you'll be able to choose the color and i'll go through all of these different elements that you can use to create a design from scratch in just a minute but i want to go back and show you just thes
